I think one reason I've put it off this year is that Noah will be doing 9th grade this fall, and I feel pressure (from myself, not anyone else) to be sure that I choose just the right subjects from just the right companies since I'll have to start keeping a transcript for him this year in case he goes to college one day. Also, 9th grade seems like a "transition" year to me because it's high school. I feel like I need to try to be consistent for these last 4 years of school. I would like to choose and use the same math curriculum and the same history curriculum, etc., and stick with those for these last 4 years. I want to feel like he's not missing anything important since this is all the time I have left to cram whatever knowledge he needs into him!
For the last few days, I've been trying to force myself to decide once and for all what I'm going to use so I can get it ordered! (Thank you so much for not saying, "Well, it's about time!") I've narrowed it down, but I haven't decided absolutely for certain. My plan is to look a little more today, make my final decision, and order on Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully everything won't be on back-order because of all those other procrastinators who are just now ordering too! ;)
So what about you? Do you have everything sitting on your shelves ready to get started? Or have you already started your year? I'd love to hear from you!
